Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum depending on experience + £10,000 joining bonus (T&Cs apply)

Working hours: Part time with weekend flexibility

Experience level: This role is open to both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists who are registered with the GOC

Specsavers in Burgess Hill are looking for an ambitious Optometrist to join their highly successful and well-established team on a full or part time basis. Whether you’re newly qualified or have years of experience, we are looking for someone who is passionate about the industry and the development of their career both clinically and professionally.

Celebrating their 30th birthday next year, our Burgess Hill store sits in a prime location and is firmly embedded within the local community. You will be joining an experienced team of 22, some who have worked in the store for over 15 years! Within the team there are experienced Optometrists, pre-reg Optometrists, a Contact Lens Optician, a Trainee Dispensing Optician as well as fully trained Optical Assistants meaning everyone is in place to let you focus on what you do best.

In November 2023 the store had a full refurbishment meaning you will be working in a large, modern, fresh, and bright environment. Burgess Hill boasts 7 test rooms including one contact lens room and one hear care room. All test rooms are fully equipped with the latest clinical technology and equipment.

The store directors are leading the way for clinical and professional progression, making Burgess Hill the perfect place to advance your career as they will support you through Professional Certificates in Glaucoma, Medical Retina, and IP or if you would like to be a director yourself one day, they are best placed to support you with this journey as they have both gone through this process themselves in recent years.

Our store is conveniently located on Church Road which has great public transport links with Burgess Hill train station being only a 2-minute walk from the store. If driving, there is parking close by to the store and you will be offered a paid parking permit. Burgess Hill also has direct trains from London Bridge and Victoria taking just 45-50 minutes.
